Birdcage veils

Katherine Heigl wore them for her wedding. They are short, stylish and very chic, and Kristin Fox has some gorgeous ones at CastleBride Couture..

Foundling

I just love everything at foundling. Betsy Carr finds inspiration and creates her delightful pieces from vintage textiles, papers, ephemera and recycled materials. I love how every little bits tell a story. The first one for instance, is made by preserving old dictionary text under resin with a happy little vintage brass birdie stacked on top. The other one which I really like is the earrings made from old brass floral etched lockets which hides tiny bits of vintage map inside. Snippets of fabric from an old dress adds a personal touch to the earrings..

Purple, pink & white wedding: S + M

Some photos from a wedding last weekend. The bride, S, chose a lovely purple, pink and white palette, so I had the mini roses customized in three colors to top the cakes..

"1 Year and 1 Month"

You can't change the past but, with understanding, you can sometimes draw the poison out of it.

Valentine's wedding: June + Dennis

A first of two Valentine's wedding. June and Dennis chose a red and gold palette to coincide with the Chinese New Year. The couple also wanted to infuse key elements from their two customs, so the reception area were decorated with Chinese lanterns and Norm did their amazing centerpieces with fighting fishes and marabou feathers..

We added this little detail just because the groom is a Harley man..
